Julian Cheng

Julian is a Partner in the Tax group of Gilbert + Tobin with over 20 years’ experience in providing tax advisory services.  He has extensive experience in advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructures, cross border investments and financing, and fund structuring.  

Julian joined Gilbert + Tobin in 2020.  His previous roles included 9 years as a tax partner with a Big 4 chartered accounting firm including 2 years as head of the firm’s Australian tax desk in New York providing Australian tax assistance and advice to US corporate groups and funds.

Julian is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria, and is registered as a tax agent.  He holds a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Law from the Monash University.
