Biography

    Craig is a partner in Gilbert + Tobin’s Corporate Advisory group.

    He specialises in general corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, takeovers and schemes of arrangement and equity capital markets. He also regularly advises listed companies in relation to corporate governance and securities law issues, such as meetings, directors' liabilities, insider trading and ASX and Corporations Law compliance.

    Craig is regarded as one of Australia's leading M&A lawyers, and has been consistently noted as such by legal surveys (including most recently by Best Lawyers 2020 in the practice areas of Mergers & Acquisitions law, Corporate law, Corporate / Governance practice, Private Equity, Equity Capital Markets and Mining and Natural Resources law).

    Chambers recently commented in respect of Craig that he "is well regarded amongst peers and clients" and "has a strong record of advising some of the world's leading banks and corporates, such as GE, Transurban and Goldman Sachs".

    Craig has lectured in Economics at Monash University and in Corporations Law for the Securities Institute of Australia.
