Tim Gordon

Biography

Tim is our executive partner and the head of our Corporate Advisory group.

As Executive Partner, Tim works with G+T's Chair and CEO to develop and promote the firm’s practice and strategy.

In his corporate advisory practice, Tim advises listed companies and Australian and offshore private equity fund managers in relation to M&A, capital raisings, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and regulatory investigations.

Tim is a member of the Law Committee of the AICD and the Securities Law Committee of the International Bar Association.

Tim has a Master of Laws (Corporate and Commercial Law) from UNSW and also received undergraduate qualifications in Law and Commerce (Finance) from UNSW. Tim is a Governor of the Centennial Parklands Foundation and a director of Watertrust Australia, a national water and catchment policy not-for-profit.

Tim’s experience includes advising:

  • IFM Investors on the sale of MPM to AJ Gallagher.

  • For Purpose Investment Partners on the acquisition of Signature Care, one of the largest ever impact investment deals in Australia.

  • Motive Partners on its investment into Splitit, and the simultaneous de-listing and redomicile of Splitit from the ASX.

  • Bain Capital on the sale of Retail Zoo to Adamantem Capital.

  • Authentic Brands on the acquisition of Boardriders (Billabong, Quicksilver, Roxy and others) from Oaktree.

  • OP Trust and Foresight Group on the investment into SkyKraft.

  • Cardno Limited's sale of Cardno ESG to Stantec.

  • On the sale of Agilex Biolabs to Helius.

  • Stone & Wood on its acquisition by Lion.

  • Resolution Life on acquiring AIA Australia’s superannuation and investments business.

  • Silver Lake on investing in Australian professional football.

  • Pinnacle Investment Management on investing in Five V Capital, Metrics Credit and Coolabah Capital.
