Rachel is a partner in our Financial Services Regulatory group.Known for her solution-focused approach, Rachel consistently evaluates challenges through both a legal and commercial lens.
She has extensive experience advising a diverse range of clients, from major banks and private lenders to banking service providers and aggregators.
Her expertise spans a broad spectrum, including National Consumer Credit Protection Act and National Credit Code compliance, BNPL products, commercial credit, and credit-related matters including licensing, compliance with industry codes and regulator engagement.
She has significant experience setting up new lenders and conducting regulatory due diligence, including advising on product development, standard form documentation and policies and procedures for both retail and commercial lenders.
Rachel is also skilled in advising on regulatory change, origination arrangements, regulatory breaches and remediation programs, and credit advertising.
She regularly assists clients to navigate interactions with regulators including ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC and the OAIC, and with AFCA disputes.
Her work with fintechs, alternative finance providers and on digital transformation projects further underscores her versatility.

Many lenders, aggregators and other originators on negotiated origination agreements.
OwnHome on the development of a consumer home deposit lending product.
Constantinople in connection with the development of its bank-in-a-box service, including developing standard form documents for its clients.
MoneyMe on the acquisition of a peer to peer lender and associated post-acquisition issues and implementation strategy.
Specialist non-bank lender, Bridgit on the development of bridging finance products.
In excess of 25 financial institutions in connection with updates to standard form documentation for unfair contract.
