Biography
Amanda is a partner and the head of our Real Estate and Projects group.Amanda has broad and extensive real estate advisory experience. Amanda specialises in advising in respect of real estate and infrastructure development, real estate acquisitions and disposals and corporate leasing, with a focus on representing tenants.
She has expertise in rural and agribusiness transactions and the energy sector. Amanda has acted on numerous acquisitions and disposals involving large property portfolios.
Experience
Amanda’s experience includes advising:
Peregrine Group on the $1.2 billion disposal of its retail and industrial property portfolio to Viva, comprising an extensive portfolio of service stations and retail convenience stores.
Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation on the strategic review and possible sale of the iconic Ayers Rock Resort.
Waypoint REIT (previously Viva REIT) on the property aspects of the sale and leaseback of over 430 service stations from Viva Energy to form the VIVA REIT.
GrainCorp on the property aspects of the $350 million disposal of the Liquids Terminals business, on its $3.3 billion de-merger and on its $320 million acquisition of the Gardner Smith Group.
Powering Australia (a consortium) on the successful $3 billion bid for the Tilt Renewables portfolio of solar farm and wind farm projects.
KKR on the $315 million acquisition of the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.
Iris Capital, including its acquisition of a portfolio of 17 ibis hotels from AccorInvest (the largest hotel deal in 2020) and the purchase and subsequent sale of the Crest Hotel to Greenland.
TAFE NSW, the NSW Government’s tertiary vocational education provider, on the disposal of assets and leasing matters.
Commonwealth Bank of Australia on the development and long term lease of its Darling Square head office building.
Soho House on its entry into the Australian upmarket club hotel market, with agreements for lease for sites for its clubs.
The Rohatyn Group on the acquisition of plantations in NT and WA and subsequent disposals, the acquisition of macadamia and cotton agricultural assets in QLD and joint venture with Rural Funds Management.
Asahi on agreements for lease in respect of the development of specialist storage logistics and distribution centres including at Heathwood and the sale and leaseback of its manufacturing site at Macgregor, Queensland.
