Biography

Adam is a partner in our Corporate Advisory group and Head of our Investment Funds practice.

With over two and a half decades of transactional experience with G+T, including 18 years as a partner, Adam has played a pivotal role in developing G+T's award-winning corporate and funds practices. He is widely recognised for his unmatched 'end-to-end' service, covering every aspect of large transactional activity for his esteemed corporate and funds clients. Capital raising and funds formation, along with complex structuring, acquisition, and exit work in the Australian market has earned him a stellar reputation and has set him apart from his competitors. 

Adam's extensive experience includes negotiating more than 100 M&A transactions, acting on over 25 IPOs raising in excess of $15 billion, advising many listed company boards, and structuring dozens of collective investment vehicles and management arrangements. 

He has proven himself an unparalleled advisor to the world's largest funds clients, including Blackstone, CVC, Telstra, Barrenjoey, Pemba Capital Partners and Bain. His comprehensive and strategic approach ensures his clients receive exceptional legal guidance tailored to their unique needs.

Adam’s experience includes advising:

  • Barrenjoey on its recent wholesale fund raising and portfolio acquisition and JV work.

  • Blackstone on its acquisition of a stake in the PAG Asia funds management business.

  • Sime Darby Berhad on the $650 million acquisition of Online Rentals Group.

  • Pemba Capital Partners on the approximately $700 million sale of Device Technologies to Navis Capital Partners.

  • Qscan on the sale to Infratil and Morrison & Co.

  • Icon on the sale to Goldmans, QIC and Pagoda and subsequent sale to EQT.

  • BGH in connection with its acquisition of Virtus and arrangements with Doctors.

  • Bain AsiaCap on the acquisition of aged care businesses Ardmillan and Craigcare.

  • Barrenjoey on the acquisition of an interest in the Guzmen y Gomez business from Magellan.

  • Pemba Capital Partners in connection with the establishment of its VCLPs Funds 1-3.

  • Ord Minnett on the establishment of its wholesale funds platform (including ESVCLP).

  • Telstra on the establishment of a new blind pool offshore fund to structure its holding of the balance sheet venture capital portfolio, corner-stoned by Harbourvest (US$400 million) and its investment into Telstra Ventures III.
