Benefits built for exceptional people

Our success as a firm is thanks to our exceptional people, and we don’t take that for granted.

Our commitment to you goes beyond creating outstanding opportunities for you to thrive, offering a range financial rewards, wellbeing support and development programs. We believe in recognising and rewarding your hard work. You can expect competitive remuneration, a generous bonus structure and a significant recruitment referral program.

Benefits that elevate your career and life

We give you autonomy over your day, offering options to work from home for suitable roles or in the office. We provide IT equipment to help you work productively at home, and our policy is to dress for your day – if you’re not meeting clients, wear what works for you.

We’re committed to being a great place to work, and that includes supporting your health and wellbeing.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – 24/7 counselling and support services for you and your family

  • Health and wellbeing information and tools

  • Mental Health First Aiders – in house support when you need it

  • CaLM – dedicated Care & Living support with navigating aged care for your family members

  • Discounts to gym memberships, retail outlets and other offers

  • Sit to stand desks and ergonomic equipment

  • Annual flu injections

  • Regular skin cancer checks

With G+T’s refreshing lack of hierarchy, you can expect to work on meaningful matters with more responsibility very early in your career.

Ongoing professional development

We provide comprehensive support for every graduate’s Practical Legal Training (PLT) requirements, including coursework, work placement and continuing professional education.

If you wish to pursue a master’s degree or postgraduate diploma in a relevant field, we offer funding assistance as well as up to five days of study leave each year. You can also request leave to attend relevant external short courses and seminars.

Each year, we award several scholarships of up to $10,000 for higher education study around the world, including in the US, UK and Asia.

In house programs

Our tailored programs blend mentoring, on-the-job and online learning with a broad range of technical training and leadership development. These programs include regular personal and professional development sessions covering essential skills such as leadership capabilities, AI and technology, legal project management, practice expertise, commercial expertise and financial acumen, strategic business development, innovative mindset, design thinking, and interpersonal skills like self-awareness, coaching, resilience, agility and flexibility.

We actively encourage you to take up top tier opportunities around the world with a supportive leave of absence policy for secondments. As we are a leading independent firm, there are no limits on where you can go on secondment. If you want to work overseas or spend a stint as in-house counsel, our partners will open doors for you through our networks. When you’re ready to return, we’ll help you find the right next role with our firm.

We also offer G+T scholarships for study abroad. And of course, you’ll be exposed to many cross-border and global matters through your day-to-day work with G+T.
