Managing partner Danny Gilbert received the first 2017 Asia Pacific Special Achievement Award. Gilbert + Tobin also won four awards at the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards Asia Pacific 2017: Most Innovative Law Firm Headquartered in the Asia Pacific Most Innovative Law Firm in Australia Innovation in New Product and Services Innovation in Expanding Clients' businesses

Intellectual Property partner John Lee was recognised as Lawyers Weekly IP Partner of the Year 2017. Restructuring and Insolvency partner Dominic Emmett was also recognised as Lawyers Weekly Insolvency Partner of the Year 2017.

Gilbert + Tobin was awarded Matter of the Year for work done on the global merger between Anheuser-BuschInBevNV (ABI) and SABMiller.

Gilbert + Tobin Competition + Regulation partner Moya Dodd has been recognised as the nation’s most influential woman, at the Australian Financial Review and Westpac 100 Women of Influence Awards.
